Our Goals

GCTP Activities

• Network with other organizations who provide services to teenage parents
• PROVIDE information to the public and private service providers
• HOLD meetings exploring parenting education workshops, health services, infant risk, adoption information & legal issues.
• Community Service Projects
• Fundraisers for Scholarships
• EDUCATE toward the establishment and enforcement of paternity with child & medical support.
• HOST annual Teen Parent Roundup which is a one day workshop for teen parents of Galveston County & Surrounding Areas

To achieve these goals the coalition has a membership composed of representatives from agencies and organizations in Galveston County and surrounding areas. Regular monthly meetings are held to network, learn of existing programs and services, and to discuss on-going community needs.
