Our Mission

Our mission is to impact, in a positive way, the maternal and child morbidity/mortality associated with teen pregnancy in Galveston County through a coalition aimed at coordinating services to provide primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention.

To achieve this mission, the Coalition will:

• Promote pregnancy prevention activities and programs.
• Provide resources to groups and individuals who work with pregnant and parenting teens
• Promote an inter-agency approach to the delivery of services to both pregnant and parenting teens.
• Identify the gaps in available services existing in Galveston County
• Collect data to determine the need for future services
• Assist teen mothers & fathers in school to obtain marketable skills for job readiness. Upon their completion of high school
• Provide a mechanism for continued support base
• Teach Independent Living Skills
• Supportive and Safe Housing
